Week 1 Term 3 2020

Welcome back everyone!

We hope you had a wonderful break with your families and friends. Term 3 is going to be a busy one so make sure you keep in touch. Our class blog will keep you updated each week but there is also the school website, Facebook account and we are, as always, only an email away.

This term is all planned and we are rested, revived and ready for action.  Our Concept for Term 3 is Explorers - going into the unknown.  We have lots of great play experiences planned and will be encouraging our kids to be explorers in learning throughout the day.

Term 3 RE focuses around 2 strands - Jesus (Jesus Showed His Love in Different Ways) and Church (Gathering, Celebrating and Living God’s Presence). We will be leading a liturgy in Week 4 and will send out more info closer to the time.

In week 2 we have our learning conferences. These are an opportunity for us all (teacher, parent and student) to discuss where we are at and how to support further learning. We will be setting 1 literacy goal, 1 numeracy goal and 1 Values/Key Competency goal to work on together during the coming weeks.

Conferences will be held:

  • Tuesday 28 July 3.10  -  5.50pm

  • Wednesday 29 July 3.15 -  5.35pm

Bookings are now open. Go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter the event code bnp5z.

Our Holiday Reading Programme has been running over the holidays. Reading Logs need to be brought back to school by Thursday. We have lots of cool prizes for the lucky draw. All children who participate go in the draw for a prize.
